Collage artist Ashkan Honarvar deals with the darker side of human life but through this exposes a different kind of beauty. Through creating these human hybrids, Honarvar deals with often morbid but important subject matter such as war and sexual violence. The 'Ubakagi' (cutting meat from a dead body) series highlights the severity of rape in the Congo, the consequences for the women and how men use it as a weapon.
